Destination
Maasai Mara
Rift Valley

The Maasai Mara is Kenya's most celebrated wildlife reserve — a rolling expanse of savannah in the south-west that runs unbroken into Tanzania's Serengeti.
Each year over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle move through the Mara on the Great Migration. The reserve also holds resident populations of all of the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo — alongside hundreds of bird species.
Best time to visit
July to October brings the migration and the best big-cat viewing. The reserve is rewarding year round; the short rains in November and the long rains from March to May keep the plains green and the crowds thin.
